Tuesday Toppers: St. Patty's Day Shamrock

In honor of St. Patty's Day next week, I pulled out the fondant and put together these lucky little toppers. Over the next two weeks i'm going to show you how to make two of them. The shamrock and the little leprechaun hat. Todays will be the shamrock and here's what you will need to make one:

-Fondant smoother
-leaf veiner
-knife
-green fondant
-paint brush and water ( i always forget to put that in the picture :)

-Take a 1" ball of fondant and flatten it with fondant smoother

-With sharp end of knife make two slits to form the leaves.

-Poke hole in bottom of shamrock where stem will go, this also helps shape the leaves.
- With small end of leaf veiner make indents in each of the 3 leaves.

-For stem roll out small ball of green into log.
-Flatten bottom and shape other end into a point.

-Attatch stem with a small amount of water into hole.

You can now give the luck of the Irish to someone :)
